Bac Ninh with 800 km2 area, population is about 1 million people, located in the Northern Gate of Hanoi Capital, the ancient northern central city where old cultural, academic title tradition, prosperous land belonging to development triangle Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh, its comfortable transport system as: 1A national road linked Hanoi – Bac Ninh – Lang Son, 18 high way linking the international airport Noi Bai – Bac Ninh – Ha Long; railway across Vietnam to Lang Son and China; sea way network of Cau river, Duong river, Thai Binh river coming into East sea. These are comfortable conditions to develop the economy – culture – society and foreign trading exchange.

In order to develop these tendencies, the Government Prime Minister signed the Decision No 1129/QD-TTg on Tien Son industrial zone establishment and assigned VIGLACERA Corporation acting on the investment owner on 18, December, 1998. The Government and People Committee of Bac Ninh Province have targeted on development of Tien Son industrial zone – the first and biggest industrial zone in Bac Ninh province become dynamic economic zone, playing the most important part to shift Bac Ninh economic structure into the industrial province standard.

Complex of Tien Son IZ

With this goal, Tien Son industrial zone pays the special attention to planning, investing and building the advanced and synchronized infrastructure system. From favorable transport system, water supply, drainage and communication system, to social infrastructure system abundant and multi service support, it gives the best and most comfortable conditions for trading and manufacturing enterprises in industrial zone.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs want to invest into Tien Son industrial zone, they will be favor of more preferential policies, investing encouragement policies of the State and specially ones of Bac Ninh Province than other industrial zones.

Developer

Tien Son industrial zone is established and assigned Vietnam Glasses and Ceramics for Construction Corporation (Viglacera) by the decision N0 1129/QD-TTg dated 18 December 1998 of the Prime Minister and officially leased land as of 22nd December, 1999 with 50-year validity period.

Legal Document

- The Decision No. 1129/QD-TTg dated 18 December 1998 of the Prime Minister on establishing and approving the project of infrastructure construction and business in Tien Son industry zone- Bac Ninh.

- The Decision No. 1192/QD-TTg dated 22 December 1999 of the Prime Minister on approving VIGLACERA belong to Construction Ministry renting the land for construction and business investment of Tien Son – Bac Ninh industry zone.

Scale

Tien Son industrial zone was investment and construction in 1999 with total area is 350ha. First phase is 134.76ha and second phase is 214.24ha.
