Vietnam’s Petro Mekong seeks to quit oil import business

Petro Mekong, a subsidiary of state-owned PV Oil, is seeking approval from the Ministry of Industry and Trade to stop importing oil products and become a distributor for its parent company.

Vietnam power to be disrupted by gas field maintenance

Vietnam will halt gas supply for 10 days next month to two power plants with a combined capacity of about a quarter of the country’s total due to planned maintenance at the Nam Con Son field, an official at state-owned PetroVietnam said on Thursday.

PetroVietnam’s new power plant to buy Indonesia, Australia coal

PetroVietnam has awarded its subsidiary a contract to build a 1,200-megawatt coal-fired thermal power plant in southern Vietnam, which will use coal imported from Indonesia and Australia, a local newspaper said on Wednesday.

VietinBank lends $200 mln for Dai Hung oil field expansion

Vietnam 1st refinery set for $1.2 bln upgrade

The Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, also known as PetroVietnam, plans to spend around US$1.2 billion to expand and upgrade the Dung Quat Oil Refinery so it can meet as much as half of the nation’s fuel demands.
