Cargill to produce shrimp feed in Vietnam

Feed manufacturer Cargill Vietnam has acquired a shrimp feed plant in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta from a Japanese manufacturer, according to a report in Tuoi Tre on Tuesday.

Vietnam rice prices jump to near three-yr high

Vietnam’s rice export prices rose nearly 1 percent on Thursday, with the 5 percent broken grade hitting $575 a ton and is heading towards $580, which is the highest in more than three years, on demand from Indonesia and Mekong Delta flooding impact, traders said.

VietinBank managers fired for giant debt

Vietnam’s Mekong Housing Bank sets IPO on July 20

Mekong Housing Bank (MHB), one of Vietnam’s five remaining wholly state-owned lenders, plans to raise at least VND710.6 billion (US$34.6 million) in its initial public offering next month, the country’s main stock exchange said.

Vietnam to stockpile 1 mln tons of rice from July
