The northern port city of Hai Phong licensed six new foreign-invested projects in the first five months of the year, worth a combined US$15.2 million, said the municipal Department of Planning and Investment.

The latest addition has brought the number of licensed projects in the city to date to 276, with a total value of $4.24 billion. Most involve industry, real estate or tourism.

The achievement follows hastened administrative reforms, investment in infrastructure upgrades and preparation of land for investors, said department director Le Thanh Son.(vnbusiness.com)
